Becoming the Talk of the Town doesn’t just happen on its own. First you have to give people something to talk about. For the open days of the Ministry of Defense we made a cool game to play on the iPhone. In this game players could experience the work of navy and air force by carrying out a peace mission online. They could form a team with Facebook friends and share medals on their wall. To complete the game, participants came to the open days, where cleverly hidden QR-codes gave access to the final game.

For Stegeman we created a ‘borrelplanner’: an application to invite Facebook friends for a social drink (borrel in Dutch) via the site. And for some Stegeman sausage, naturally. What sparked the idea for the borrelplanner was the culinary experience Stegeman links to its dry sausages. Visitors of the site put together their favorite food/drink combinations and print out their shopping lists. What’s next? Inviting friends! The link to Facebook not only has an obvious function, it is also completely integrated in terms of technology and design.

Social media offer a perfect opportunity to hook up with existing communities. We have made maximum use of this fact for Delta Lloyd. As main sponsor of water sports in the Netherlands, Delta Lloyd wanted to gather the sailing community around its brand. Facebook turned out to be the perfect channel. By stimulating enthusiasm among sailing teams for the Facebook page of Delta Lloyd Sailing, Delta Lloyd also easily reaches other water sports enthusiasts. Thanks to its various Facebook pages, Delta Lloyd is now a leading authority for news and events within the sailing world.

In short: if you are looking to build a relationship with your target group, there are plenty of possibilities. We are happy to push the technological boundaries for you. Last year this resulted in Social TV: a prototype app for cable companies. Social TV makes a second TV screen out of the iPad, with realtime extra content and virtual parties. This way viewers have optimal TV experience and can recommend each other (on demand) films and TV programs via Twitter and Facebook. At the important Cable Shows in Cologne, Chicago and Amsterdam audiences were impressed with this social multiscreen solution. Need we say more?
